OUR STORY:
Erica and Mike met in 2011 playing kickball in San Diego, CA eleven years after they each transplanted from the east coast. Erica originally was from nearby Laconia, NH and Mike grew up in Montauk, NY. Three years after first meeting we started our family with our oldest son Charlie and shortly thereafter in 2015 the twins, Chase & Fiona, were born.
Together the five of us lived a happy life in California, but something was always missing. Erica worked tedious hours doing legal contracts for the biotech industry and after staying home to raise the kids until preschool age, Mike eventually started a pool service company. Our talents and interests (completely different!) complement each other perfectly and we always talked about where and how we could make them work for us.
Then the 2020 pandemic came and we were forced to look within and discover what it was that was missing for both of us. It was the childhood experiences we shared having each grown up in small towns in the woods on the water. When we found The Inn on Golden Pond that October, we both immediately knew this was meant to be. The combination of Erica's crafting, interior decorating, event planning and organizing skills with Mike's ability to fix just about anything in the house, cook amazing food and underlying urge to be a farmer are exactly what is needed to bring the fun family experience we are looking to create at The Inn on Golden Pond and we look forward to sharing it with you!
