About the Inn
The Inn on Golden Pond is an impressive country home built in 1879, located in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire and in the foothills of the White Mountains. It offers the ideal setting for a New Hampshire weekend getaway or a relaxing vacation. Nearby is Squam Lake, setting for the classic film On Golden Pond.
Our New Hampshire Inn does not have lake frontage itself, but visitors will find easy access close by for a wide variety of water activities. For those who prefer to stay dry there are numerous recreational, shopping and dining opportunities in the immediate area.
Surrounding the Inn you will find 50 wooded acres with walking trails and peaceful resting spots. Enjoy the open yard area behind the Inn where you can relax in the sun, sip a glass of wine, spread out a picnic lunch, or keep an eye open for some of the area’s wildlife.
Our New Hampshire Inn is known for its refreshingly friendly, yet professional, atmosphere. Innkeepers Bill & Bonnie Webb have been hosting guests from all over the world for over 25 years. They pride themselves on providing just the right blend of homestyle comfort and relaxation with a healthy respect for individual privacy.
There are eight large guestrooms, two of which are two-room suites, all with private baths. They have been furnished and decorated in a traditional country style with amenities appropriate for today’s traveler. Your comfort and satisfaction are the highest priority.
On the first floor there is a large dining room where each morning a delicious homecooked breakfast is served. There are also two sitting rooms on this floor, the first with a fireplace and lots of comfortable sofas and chairs. In the cool weather curl up next to a crackling fire, read a book, play a game or enjoy conversation with other guests. In the other sitting room you will find a television for those who need to be connected to the outside world.
There is free wifi available throughout the Inn, but there is also a guest computer with high speed internet access available on the first floor for those who don’t travel with their own.
In the warmer weather guests enjoy our 70′ long screened-in porch which stretches the length of the front of the Inn, enhancing any New Hampshire weekend getaway. Also available during the summer and fall is our game room, located in a separate building, which has a ping pong table and a dartboard.
