Our Squam Lake Inn is at the geographic center of New Hampshire giving our guests unlimited choices of things to do and places to see. Enjoy the 40 miles of hiking and walking trails that surround us in the Squam Range, or venture to the 4,000′ peaks of the White Mountains just to our north. Virtually all of New Hampshire’s major attractions are less than an hour away. You can be in Maine or Vermont or in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest in 45 minutes making the inn a great starting and ending point for a variety of day trips. In fact, the Maine Coast and Canada are within 2 hours of our central New Hampshire location.

If you’d like to ski New Hampshire there are 5 major ski areas all about a half hour away. And if you’d like to explore the back roads of the state we’re ideally located for dozens of drives to discover New Hampshire’s history, covered bridges and beautiful landscapes.

Of course, right down the road is the gem of all NH lakes- Squam Lake, so tranquil and beautiful the moviemakers chose it as the setting for the classic film “On Golden Pond.” Lake Winnipesaukee and the towns of Ashland, Plymouth, Center Harbor, Meredith and Sandwich are all within 15 minutes making the Inn one of the most convenient places to stay in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region.

We’re 3 miles from I-93, easy to get to and centrally located. The downtowns of Plymouth and Meredith, NH are about 10 minutes from our front door. The area hub Laconia, and Tilton with its outlet stores are a half hour away.

We’ll get you started each morning with a hearty breakfast (included in the rate) early enough so it won’t interfere with your work day. At the end of the day kick up your feet and savor a glass of wine or a cold beer surrounded by the tranquility of our 50 wooded acres. For dinner you’ll find a great selection of restaurants close by ranging from fast food to gourmet.

We offer free wifi throughout the inn and have a guest computer with high speed internet access if you don’t have a laptop. Many of our rooms have desks for your convenience. Several rooms also have televisions.

There’s no reason to give up the comforts of home while you’re traveling on business. And unlike many lodging places in New Hampshire’s lakes region we offer a reduced rate for single travelers.
