Sometimes you forget to look at the interior decor of Owl’s Nest because your eye is so drawn to the beautiful view of the backyard provided through the large picture window in this room. But this is one of our guests’ favorite rooms decorated in deep blue and white. The room has a feel of a suite because the sitting area is separated from the queen size bed in the sleeping area by a half wall. The floor is a charming hard pine wood partially covered by blue and white braided rugs. Like all rooms there are two comfortable chairs in the sitting area, but these seats give you an Owl’s eye view of our fifty wooded acres. For those who prefer man made scenery there is a flat screen television in this room. The bath has a full tub with shower.
“An impressive country home built in 1879, located near Squam Lake, setting for the classic film ‘On Golden Pond.’ The area offers a variety of outdoor sporting activities year round and there are superior restaurants and plenty of good shopping opportunities nearby. The Inn is known for its refreshingly friendly yet professional atmosphere. Furnished to provide maximum comfort, six spacious guestrooms and two suites are decorated in traditional country style. All have private baths.”
